They may look cute, buying one or few can help make an oc design for yourself and such.
BUT. Before you but any of these, you must ALWAYS make 100% sure the person selling is the one who made them.
Some ways to tell that you're on a scammer's account:
Picture size and clarity: There are some may look smaller than they should appear, judging by the art style, and larger images may seem slightly pixelated on the lines along with some smaller details looking a little blurry. (This can be used to catch art thieves too!)
Art style: Look through the seller's gallery and see if the art styles of the art match up with each other. Watch for varying art styles or a pattern on the adoptable that is similar to what you may have seen before. Using the above advice helps.
Seller's gallery: If all they have in their gallery is JUST adoptables and nothing else, don't buy right away. He/she is very likely to be a scammer.
How long they've been here: Under their profile name on their profile page should be a thing that says: Deviant for x years/months/weeks. If it says that person joined just recently or a little past that and they have a lot on sale, it's likely that person is a scammer.
That's all I have for now. If anyone has anymore advice, please add on and share. I would like to see this spread across this site.

A life well lived and loved
My cat Orion just passed away today. He was home with my dad while I was at work. It was very nice of them to let me leave early.
I'm going to miss him yelling at me early in the morning for food or attention. He was a shy guy, but he had love and personality. He was a tough old man to the end.
Well, he's back together with his sister Mitzi now.
